Research on viruses and viroids requires a multidisciplinary approach and may vary based on the specific goal of the study. In conducting research on viruses and viroids, we use Molecular techniques such as PCR, RT-PCR (reverse-transcriptase PCR), DNA sequencing to detect, identify and characterize viruses and viroids. These techniques help in studying genome structure, replication mechanisms and diversity of viruses.
