SKAL Biocontrol
Skal Biocontrole is a Dutch organization responsible for the supervision and control of organic agriculture and food production in the Netherlands. At Normec Groen Agro Control, we understand the growing demand for organic products and support our customers in obtaining and maintaining this important certification. Skal has been designated by the Dutch government as the certifying body for the organic sector and conducts inspections of organic farms to verify compliance with applicable European and national laws and regulations for organic production.

Skal certification is a requirement for companies that want to produce, process, package, trade or import organic products in the Netherlands.
Skal regularly conducts inspections and checks of organic companies to verify their compliance with organic regulations. These inspections include checks for compliance with crop protection, animal welfare, genetic modification, traceability and packaging regulations.
Skal monitors compliance with organic regulations through random inspections, audits and documentation checks. Companies that do not comply with the requirements may face sanctions ranging from warnings to fines and revocation of their organic certification.
Skal plays an active role in promoting organic agriculture and food production in the Netherlands through information, education and collaboration with industry stakeholders. Skal certification provides consumers with assurance that organic products meet strict standards of sustainability, environment, animal welfare and health.
Skal is accredited by the Council for Accreditation (RvA) and recognized by the European Commission, which means that Skal’s certificates are internationally recognized and accepted. This allows Dutch organic companies to export their products to other countries and benefit from the growing international demand for organic products.
